In 2024, Washington and Lee University established the Department of Institutional History Museum and Galleries to steward the design and construction of a new institutional history museum that will reflect the full and rich history of the University, its people, traditions, and impact throughout the nation’s history. Plans for the new museum are taking shape and the IHMG team is pulling back the curtain on the process and excitement of creating a new museum from the ground up.
